It feels like SPRING today!

So, I redecorated.

When I was a kid, back when I had a twin-size bed and lightweight, pseudo-Louis XIV gilded furniture (really...it was a lovely set for a little girl in the early 70's) I used to rearrange my room constantly. I got so bored!

Then, when I was sixteen, I got a waterbed. This was in the days when people wanted a waterbed to FEEL like one, you know? If you're over 35, you'll remember, I'm sure. Anyway, I got one and my days of whimsically rearranging my room were over. Moving the bed took one entire day, by the clock. Way too much effort.

Then, I got married and moving furniture meant having to adjust to the Spousal Unit and the television and who knew what all. So I rarely get to move furniture anymore, even though I am mistress of my own house.

So. Please forgive me if I change the atmosphere in here occasionally. I don't get to do this often!

Packing update: Yes, we've started packing. Books. Cordelia knows what a task that will be (don't keel over, my friend) and so we decided to start really blinking early. Side benefit: I found a box of clothes that I'd been saving for when I lost weight. Correction: the Spousal Unit found them. So I feel like I just got to go shopping and it didn't cost me anything. :-)
