I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship. - Louisa May Alcott
Long time, no blog
**looking around**
My house is empty.
My desk is stuck on a moving van somewhere between Phoenix and South Florida.
I am at my brother-in-law's house trying to figure out how to use a PC (remember, I'm a MAC addict).
But...
I have INTERNET ACCESS that, like, MOVES.
Hello and hello and hello.
To crimsontide: Thanks again. :-)
To The Journalist: Surprise!
To Cordelia: Are we there, yet?
I will not apologize for my long absence, for it really wasn't my "fault," as it were, but just a circumstance of life in transition. I will be gone again in another day or so and might not have an ISP 'til August 1 or something (let's hear it for unincorporated areas.....hm?)
Life in my corner of the Sonoran Desert:
**The first buyers for our house had to bail out of escrow (low-balled appraisal combined with lack o'funds), so we had to put the house BACK on the market, July 1.
**Sold the house and were under contract AGAIN by July 2. God is so cool.
**Packed the world into 75 boxes and who knows how many pieces of furniture (43, the Spousal Unit had to count for shipping purposes with his company)and shoved it all into a Penske truck (courtesy of The Company. Oooh AAAh.) Decide that when we get to Florida, we rent a bigger truck...
**Found a pay-as-you go cell phone.
**It reeks.
**My children are playing with their uncle's dogs...I'm allergic to fur.
**It's 112 or something and it's the monsoon season...or close...so I'm getting inducted into Humidity Appreciation a bit early. Oh the joys.
**I finished the Neverending Norseman!!! Friday night. Just before my desk got pulled out from under me.
Wow. I'm sitting here at this computer thinking...hey...I could maybe write my column this week. Keep your fingers crossed. No, wait, don't. Hard to type that way.
I have missed Mindsay exceeeeeeedingly. Hm, was that enough eeees? For Zaphod, I will add !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I'll sign off for now. I need to go read some blogs. ;-)
Have a super Tuesday afternoon! Stay cool and thanks for dropping by.
:-)
