Yes, it's a real word. My two-year-old knows this word. He won't say "Mama," but he can say "pummel."

He likes to get pummeled, too. He will come up behind me and hit me on the backside and say, "Pummel!" It's our form of wrestling and having tickle-fights.

I'm noting this here because his babybook is already packed. :-( But, when we move, I'll go looking for old entries and make notes again. lol If I write it down NOW, it'll probably get lost in the paint. Or something.
