I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship. - Louisa May Alcott

First lines are vital in catching the interest of the average blog-reader. They state our current frame of mind, what we find Most Important.

Here are some I've seen today:

I had the strangest dream last night...

what can i say... this is probably one of the best days i've had in a very long while

I get up every morning, and the first thing I do is look for socks.

This whole gay marriage thing is getting out of hand.

This morning I observed a member of the respectable bourgeoisie, complete with drab cardigan and ominously khaki pants, slide on the slippery soles of his footwear and look as if he relished it delightfully.

I was in my Public Opinion and Propaganda class today eager to get my test back and get on with the rest of the course.

My telephone line is dead.

And lastly...

Now that I've voiced my thoughts on improving a blog, I'd like to hear the thoughts of everyone else.

This was a random sampling, taken from my cruising this morning. Okay, and ONE was from one of my listed Friends. *waves and Poet Burns*.

It just strikes me how people go about getting attention. :-) How do YOU do it? IRL or online?

And here's your host!
